For nine years, Healesville CoRE has been helping local people and businesses take practical, affordable steps towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
From energy efficiency advice and solar initiatives to community events and education programs, we’ve worked alongside residents to make renewable energy and sustainable living more accessible for everyone.
And now, to take it further, we’re looking for more people to join us.
Each one of us can contribute in different ways. Some people may have a few hours to spare from time to time, while others can become more regularly involved. That’s why we’ve introduced a new way of volunteering, to make it easier for you to find a role that suits your availability, interests, and skills.

Help shape the future of Healesville CoRE by identifying emerging community needs, developing new ideas and planning projects that will have a lasting local impact.
Education & Awareness
Love organising events, doing social media, or writing? Could you assist with promotions or help keep our website current? If you enjoy communicating, writing or connecting with people, this group could be for you.
Programs & Services
Support practical sustainability initiatives, including Home Energy Efficiency Advice, our Solar & Battery Revolving Fund, and helping the community understand new technologies and opportunities.
It’s OK – you don’t need to be an expert.
To lend your time to Healesville CORE, you don’t need a background in renewable energy, engineering or science. You just need to want to make a positive difference in our community.
Like many local community groups, Healesville CoRE’s organising team is now very low on numbers, which may threaten our future.
Even just two or three new people will help us continue to help others.
Whether you can volunteer occasionally, lend a hand on a specific project, or become a regular member of one of our working groups, your contribution will be welcomed and valued and will make a real difference. We’ll provide guidance and support, and you’ll get to work alongside a friendly team of people who share a passion for creating a more sustainable Yarra Valley.
