Expert EcoChat
What exactly is an expert ecochat? We arrange a fantastic line up of home sustainability experts who are each available for you to book a free 20 minute appointment. They volunteer to share their expertise on: solar and batteries, getting off gas, home energy efficiency/windows/draughtproofing, sustainable design and building, water efficiency, garden, electric vehicles.

In July 2025 the Federal Government launched their Cheaper Home Batteries Program, so it was an obvious choice of topic for our series of free events. We partnered with Glen Morris of SolarQuip, and Lloyd Heathfield from Yarra Energy Foundation, who both gave clear and informative presentations.

In August 2024, we ran an event encouraging everyone to electrify their homes, and invited the founder of the Facebook group ‘My Efficient Electric Home’ Tim Forcey and the Managing Director of Rewiring Australia, Kate Minter to join us. They discussed what electrifying everything involves, why it matters and how we can all take steps to make the transition to a clean electric future.
