What is the RED trailer!?
Have you heard of the RED trailer? It’s not actually red, it’s an acronym for Renewable Energy Demonstration trailer – and it’s going to be in Healesville this Sunday, 7th September from 9:00am.
Gippsland Climate Change Network (GCCN) own the RED trailer, and use it to promote renewable energy options and raise energy awareness at schools and community events. It’s a hands-on information and energy-efficiency tool, that demonstrates an off-grid electricity system, and displays real-time data of energy produced and used.
Come and say hello
We’re excited to welcome the RED trailer to Healesville Community Market this Sunday 7 September, so do stop by and check it out. You can read more about it here.
Educating the next generation
We know how important it is to educate children about energy, so we have sponsored the RED trailer, along with an experienced science educator, to share their knowledge of renewable energy options with pupils at three local schools – Healesville High, Yarra Glen Primary and Wandin Yallock Primary.

If we receive good feedback from the schools, we will invite the RED trailer to visit more schools in the future. If you are involved with a school in the Yarra Ranges and would like to learn more, please get in touch at contact@healesvillecore.org.au.
