Healesville Community Renewable Energy works to provide opportunities for residents and businesses from the 3777 postcode area and surrounds to install a reliable, quality solar system with or without batteries. We are community volunteers doing this work as a community service, working with other organisations and businesses to achieve our aims. We seek to increase the uptake of community solar energy and batteries with a view to decreasing the carbon production from energy use in the Healesville area.
We have partnered with Yarra Ranges Shire Council and Solar Savers, a community solar panel and battery Bulk Buy program.
Through Solar Savers, residents can trust that they will have access to:
- quality equipment (solar panels and inverter, with or without batteries)
- fair pricing
- a reliable and qualified solar and battery installer
- oversight from the Solar Savers team
The Solar Savers Program
The Solar Savers Program helps you reduce your energy bills and future-proof your household against increasing energy costs, while also reducing your carbon footprint.
Following on from the success of the pilot program – Solar Savers has harnessed the learnings and experience to deliver a bulk buy program for residents in participating councils.
Led by the Eastern Alliance for Greenhouse Action (EAGA) and the Northern Alliance for Greenhouse Action (NAGA), The Solar Savers program is driven by the following participating councils:
- Yarra Ranges Shire Council
- Banyule City Council
- Nillumbik Shire
- Glen Eira City Council
- City of Monash
- Knox City Council
- Maribyrnong City Council
These councils have come together in a bid to make it easier and more affordable for you to have a quality solar system, installed by an accredited and trusted company.
