Keeping the lights on

Event Details

We welcome you to this interactive discussion which will offer battery and microgrid solutions that enable our community to prepare for blackouts from bushfires and major storms.

Be a part of the solution!

Our guest speakers for this event are:

Matthew Charles-Jones, founder and Vice-President of Totally Renewable Yackandandah (TRY). Matthew regularly shares TRY’s journey with other communities, inspiring them to also reach for 100% renewable energy.

Glen Morris, founder of SolarQuip, a local company aiming to provide renewable energy solutions for maximum environmental benefit. Glen is Healesville’s own renewable energy guru and has recently built a microgrid.

Amy Gregorovich from the Sustainability Department of Yarra Ranges Council, who has been working closely with Monash University developing a proposed model to power communities, including Healesville, using microgrids.

After a short presentation, our three guest speakers will be happy to hear and discuss all your questions about how microgrids and neighbourhood batteries help communities become more resilient in the face of extreme weather events.
