$60,000 grant awarded

Before the State election last November, the government committed $60,000 to Healesville CoRE, so that we could continue to build on and expand our work in our community. Naturally we were delighted with this completely unexpected but very welcome news, feeling that it was a mark of respect and a direct acknowledgement of what we have achieved so far.

After the budget a few weeks ago, Healesville CoRE were contacted by Sustainability Victoria and we have since met with one of their staff to discuss the finer details. The team then brainstormed a few ideas on how to put this unexpected windfall to its best use and would now like to invite you to contact us if you have any thoughts to contribute. How can we continue transitioning Healesville towards Net Zero? What would you like to see in your town? If you would like to give us your ideas, please get in touch at
