I moved to Healesville with my husband Don in 2021 – we are definitely newbies to this wonderful town and region.
I have had over 30 years’ experience working in the public, community and private sectors in management, strategic and business planning, research and information management, policy and program development, evaluation, organisational development, and change management roles.
I am a qualified psychologist, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator/ Majors Personality Type Indicator trainer and experienced facilitator. In 1999, I established my own business, Effective Management Solutions P/L (EMS Consultants), and have spent the last 25 years working with organisations undergoing significant change and building their capacity and skills.
I have spent most of my working life as both an employee and consultant in organisations with a focus on addressing disadvantage, defeating discrimination, and building a just society. My passion is working with and developing others, building individual, team and organisational capability and achieving results that make a difference.
In my transition to retirement, I have been exploring opportunities to get more involved in the community in Healesville as a volunteer. After attending a Healesville CoRE event in late 2023 I knew I had found an organisation with an inspiring vision, an important purpose and passionate people. Just what I was looking for! After discussions with the CoRE President and Committee I put my hat in the ring to join the committee and became the Secretary! I’m looking forward to supporting the Committee and contributing to the achievement of our strategic goals over the coming years.
