Healesville Community Renewable Energy (HCoRE) is a vibrant non-profit organisation based in Healesville, committed to advancing the transition towards clean and renewable energy sources. Our mission is to empower the local community to embrace sustainable practices and reduce our carbon footprint. HCoRE is comprised of passionate individuals who share a common vision: to create a greener and more sustainable future for Healesville and its surrounding areas.
HCoRE is seeking a dedicated and community-minded individual to join our team as a Volunteer Secretary. In this essential role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the organisation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective communication among our team members.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in scheduling and preparing materials for board meetings, committee meetings, and other organisational gatherings.
- Record minutes during meetings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain an organised digital filing system for important documents and records.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and enquiries on behalf of HCoRE.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective internal and external communication.
- Assist in drafting and proofreading official documents and reports.
- Keep track of organisational deadlines, subscriptions, and other time-sensitive matters.
- Assist in maintaining an organised database of volunteers and their roles within HCoRE.
- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Assist in organising and coordinating events, workshops, and activities related to HCoRE’s initiatives.
- Liaise with team members and volunteers to ensure smooth communication and cooperation.
- Help schedule volunteer meetings and activities, keeping members informed and engaged.
5. Desirable Qualities:
- Strong community-mindedness and a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
- Ability to dedicate approximately two hours per week to fulfil the responsibilities of this volunteer position.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in using office software and digital tools for administrative tasks.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members and volunteers.
- Play a crucial role in supporting HCoRE’s mission of promoting renewable energy and sustainability.
