Rod has been a resident of the Healesville area for forty five years, and he loves the town. He and his wife, Heather are also passionate about the environment and ensuring that they leave a planet in which their children and grandchildren can thrive. This has lead to to them minimising their impact on the planet wherever they can.
Rod’s involvement with Healesville CoRE began by helping out with tech support at events, leading to assisting as IT manager and a member of the Central Committee. Rod believes that Healesville CoRE’s aim for Healesville to become net zero, is an important initiative. It will save people money, inform people of ways to make homes and lives more energy efficient and give our planet a better chance to recover. These are reasons Rod became involved in Healesville Community Renewable Energy.
